Juliet Wylie
“I have two children who are in their early 20’s and so I have become used to running a ‘hotel’ and keeping the fridge full of food that isn’t ‘boring’! My husband and I enjoy walking our dog, and we are currently busy renovating our house, which is a slow but steady process. Any spare time is spent with our family who are dotted all over the country, and to whom we are really close.”
Juliet started her career with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in 1991 after completing a BA Hons Accounting & Finance degree at Leeds Metropolitan University. Starting at their Liverpool office and auditing large manufacturing and financial services companies, Juliet then transferred to the Reading office where she worked within the Growing Businesses department. This has given Juliet both valuable large business experience but also a good insight into how to best look after growing companies.
Juliet has worked in a variety of roles both in accounting at large corporations and at M&S where she managed a number of their stores.
“I took some time out of work when my children were young and then worked in various child-friendly roles until recently, when I decided that I wanted to move back into accountancy. This role at Starfish Accounting has provided me with the perfect opportunity to work with small and growing businesses within a friendly, hard working, and dedicated team of like-minded women determined to help other women (and men) to achieve their goals!”
