I am a proud Mum of 3 lovely Daughters and with their different likes and needs they certainly keep me busy and on my toes! As well as dropping them off to their social activities and hobbies I also like to keep active myself by playing badminton a few times a week and join in at the local Parkrun.
After leaving education I gained a qualification in Business Administration. Here I learnt a lot of basic computer skills as well as using different inhouse computer systems. I did general office work as well as helping out and covering at reception and learning a busy switchboard when staff were away or on leave. Becoming appointed as the “First Aider and Fire Officer”, following the opportunity to do the relevant courses, also gave me the very important role of wearing a very fashionable high vis vest when there was a fire drill.
After having my first daughter I decided to become a stay at home mum. When she started school I took a job as a Classroom Assistant as this fitted in well with still being around for her and fulfilling her needs. Having another two children meant I became a stay at home mum again for a while until, as well as managing a busy home and a growing family, I slowly began to get back into general admin work.
I am now lucky enough to have had the chance to get back into what I was doing before and I thoroughly enjoy working at Starfish Accounting.
