Caroline Young

“I’m mum to two teenage boys who love eating, football and rugby and we share our home with two energetic Labradors. You can probably imagine the work involved in keeping the house clean and ‘fresh’! Fortunately, I love being outdoors and can often be found with my husband next to a pitch, on a ramble with the dogs or jogging along the River Loddon.”

Caroline began her career working as a Travel Representative for a well-known holiday company. Although the work, hours and clients were sometimes tough it gave her a great grounding in customer service.
From there, Caroline joined the vast IT department of Reuters in London and gained a basic knowledge of the industry. Wanting to move back to her roots in Berkshire, she took a position within IT for the multinational clinical research company IQVIA where she stayed for 11 years, managing Oracle databases serving vast networks of users.

Following redundancy, Caroline decided on a change of direction and studied AAT. Since qualifying, she has worked for a couple of practices prior to joining the team at Starfish. Her practice experience has seen her work with a large variety of sole traders, partnerships and small businesses.
“I love the variety of work involved in accountancy and solving the puzzles that can sometimes present themselves. Having only recently joined Starfish, I’ve already discovered it is made up of a great team of woman who work really well together to give the clients the best possible service.”
