Rachel Buckle

With a daughter at Uni, I have become a keen Nordic walker and have had time to appreciate the lovely Berkshire countryside. I have lived here for just over 25 years, moving here from London with a change of job.

I graduated from Southampton University with a degree in Modern History and Politics and found myself working in the finance department of a magazine publishing company which led me into a career in accounting and I went on to qualify with CIMA. After working my way up the career ladder, I took a break to have my daughter. My accountancy background allowed me to work from home and I combined teaching with some bookkeeping for sole traders.

I appreciate the hard work and commitment it takes to run a small business and the reliance on the person “doing the books”. Working at Starfish, I am ideally placed to continue working with small businesses and with a great team of people.
