Andrea Thomas

“I suppose I am a bit of a paradox.  Enjoying the role of domesticated Mum one minute, with dress making, baking etc., but the next taking opportunities to jump out of aircraft, snow-board down a mountain (I qualified as a snow-board instructor in New Zealand) or zip-wiring in a Welsh mine.

While ‘Take That’ might have caught the imagination of many a Mum, I am more interested in listening to rock bands and take in concerts whenever I can.”

Plucked from an HND to transition to a full degree, Andrea achieved a BA Honors in Business Administration & Management.

She then took a series of jobs as a temp with blue-chip IT companies including Oracle.  Then in 2003 joined Microsoft.  During 8 years here, Andrea started in the marketing department but spread her experience out to include administrative support and project management.

During this time, Andrea was lucky enough to be able to experience a wide gambit of other work experience with Microsoft, including event management and process creation, which she can now bring to bear for Starfish Accounting in her role as Office Manager and general magic wand waver.

“I took a couple of years out of the workplace to get my twins settled into school.  Now I am back, I have found a great solution in Starfish Accounting.
